SKIL Worm Drive Challenge

HOW TO ENTER:
1. Nominees must have used a SKIL brand worm drive saw in their submitted challenge project.
2. Fill out entry form online, or fill out a hard copy available in SKIL Ink packages and at select retail locations.
3. Complete and submit an online entry form and attach any digital images of your project. Images must be in .jpg format and be less than 250k each in size. Entry form may also be completed by filling out the printed document available in SKIL Ink packages or by downloading and printing the document. Paper entries and any accompanying photographs must be submitted via U.S. Postal Service to the following address. SKIL Power Tools is not responsible for postage costs:

4. All entries must address all criteria outlined in the entry form to be qualified.
5. Incomplete or illegible entries, or entries without a signature or that do not accept the terms of the contest when submitting online will not be honored.
6. SKIL is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, illegible, incomplete, incorrect, misrouted or postage due entries/mail.
7. Entries become the property of SKIL and will not be returned.
8. Original entry forms only. No copies accepted.
9. Photos of projects are recommended but not required. If no photo is submitted with entry form, further validation may be required.
ENTRY DEADLINE: Contest starts at 12:00:00 a.m. EDT on April 1, 2009. Online entries must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. on August 1, 2009, EDT. All entries submitted via U.S. Postal Service must be postmarked by July 31, 2009, and received by sponsor by August 7, 2009.
JUDGING: Each entry will be ranked based on responses to the following questions:
1. Project Difficulty 30%
2. Solution Creativity 40%
3. End Results/Solution Success 30%
4. The winner selection will be conducted by a SKIL internal judging panel, whose decisions are final. SKIL reserves the exclusive right to determine winners and reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of the Contest without notice.
5. 2009 Worm Drive Challenge winner will be notified by mail on or about 09/01/09.

1. Grand Prize: Custom SKILSAW Big Dog K-9™ Chopper, awarded at Lowe’s Motor Speedway on Oct. 2009, at the Bank of America 500
  Winner will receive an all-expenses paid trip for 2 to Charlotte, NC, for the ceremony

ELIGIBILITY:
1. Nominees must be at least 18 years of age or older. Open only to legal residents of the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, excluding Puerto Rico, U.S. Territories and U.S. Possessions.
2. The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
3. All employees of Robert Bosch Tool Corporation, affiliates and subsidiaries, and the immediate families and household members of each, are not eligible to win.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
1. Use of Winner's Name: By entering, each entrant grants permission, without further compensation, to SKIL Power Tools and its agents and licensees, to use the nominee's name, voice, photograph, likeness and biographical material for broadcast, print and promotional purposes in connection with the contest.
2. Execution of Affidavit and Release: By entering, each entrant agrees that if selected, he/she will sign an affidavit of eligibility and publicity release (where legal) and a waiver of liability. The prize will be forfeited and awarded to another entrant if the selected inductee does not execute and return the prepared form of affidavit, release and waiver within ten (10) days of prize notification, or if the selected inductee is not eligible in accordance with these rules. One (1) prize per person.
3. Release Station and Sponsor of Liability: By entering, entrants agree to release SKIL Power Tools, and its officers, directors, employees and agencies from any claim, loss, liability, damage or injury of any kind arising from their participation in the contest or their receipt or use of the contest prize.
4. No Prize Substitutions: No cash substitute or transfer of prizes is available; however, SKIL Power Tools may, at its discretion, substitute prizes of equal or lesser value. Prizes are not transferable.
5. Taxes: Federal, state and local taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner, who will receive a 1099 tax form reflecting the actual value of any prize valued at $600 or more.
MISCELLANEOUS:
1. Robert Bosch Tool Corporation shall have all rights to publicize the winner’s entry.
2. By submitting an entry, participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules.
3. Entry constitutes permission to use winners’ names and likeness and entries for publicity purposes without further compensation (except where prohibited by law). Inductees agree to be available for media interviews.
4. SKIL Power Tools and its promotional and advertising agencies shall have no liability and shall be released and held harmless by participant(s) for any damage, loss or liability to person or property, due in whole or part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of prize or participation.
5. Any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this contest, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of litigation (including but not limited to class action), and exclusively by arbitration. Claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this contest, but in no event attorney’s fees.
6. Offer void where prohibited by applicable federal, state or local laws.
